Mock Analysis

It's now month of June and most of the students will start up with mock CAT's. Student should always keep in mind that CAT is practice oriented test and not intelligence test, so the two most important thing to keep in mind is first give mocks religiously and secondly analyze it atleast for 6hours. Analysis is the most important part of preparation because by doing analysis alone people can understand about their strengths and weakness. One can also review one's strategy and understand why it worked or why it didn't worked during the test. Minute details like time management, question selection, calculation mistakes etc come into light after doing analysis.

Analysis is not just going about the correct or wrong ones. One should also go through the questions which the person was not able to solve. This will help you to understand that under sheer pressure you missed some easier questions. Every student should maintain a notebook consisting of details about every mock like total attempts, right attempts, wrong attempts, attempts in term of percentage, accuracy rate, topicwise details like number system, RC, Parajumble, AR etc as this really help us in understanding our strengths and weakness. One final thing that every student should keep in mind is that the consistent performance or increasing trend of marks in all mocks always get translated into to better CAT scores 95% of times.
