CAT 2009 is going online. This adds one more feather to the ever unpredictable CAT. It is still not certain whether it will be an adaptive test or just computer based test. Everyone is just hinting towards computer based test. It will mostly be conducted in a duration of ten days, similar to the BITSAT exam, where student has to register for the day and time slot to take the exam. In that time duration all the exams will be of same difficulty level.
Though CAT going online doesn't come as surprise as the script to make CAT online was being written from past few years. Even the if you observe the pattern of CAT 2006, CAT 2007 and CAT 2008, they were getting closer and closer towards the well known Computer Adaptive test that is GMAT. I hope CAT doesn't add more surprise by adding an essay section to it. This will be pretty clear once the CAT brochures are out by July or August.
